MY ENGLISH NOTES

As a tutor, we should primarily be aware of our responsibilities to our students. Perhaps the most basic of all is to have prior knowledge about the subject which is being taught to them. Two of the most challenging are:

#1 -- to be updated on the latest changes and keep our minds sharp about the next level specialization

and

#2 -- the method by which teachers pass on the knowledge to their students.

In this blog, I want to focus on number 1, since #2 is constantly being done in my classes.

Furthermore, as a psychology graduate, I have learned that empathy is very powerful in many ways. Aside from having the capability to understand others, you can also HELP them in the most appropriate and enjoyable way possible.

I want to empathize with my students who actually start from scratch, those who have ample knowledge, and those who wish to become experts, themselves.

How will I be able to do this?

Put simply, I will study English grammar from step 1.

My notes will be posted here, and several references will be acknowledged as well. I want to do this so that our readers will be able to do some more light reading and extended learning should they wish to do so.

My main reference will be the eBook, "John Eastwood's Oxford Guide to English Grammar".  However, as mentioned, I will also be using other references in order to help other learners understand the rules and examples in different ways.

"Word Classes" are also the same as "PARTS OF SPEECH"

My English Notes entries are typically this short in order to cater to people without a very long attention span, just like me. 😉 Take your time to learn. Each one of us has our own pace. You can stop here, take a break and reward yourself for studying. After some time, proceed to the next entry.
